LED devices to cure isn’t a new invention. This technique, like some other in the artificial nail design branch, is rooted in the dental technology and present for years now. Professional Products was one of the first suppliers offering the new technique back then.

Since more and more customers where convinced of LED, the sellings increased and the production costs and prices dropped.

As a specialist for UV light curing devices, we’re offering a wide range of LED devices, matching the different requirements of the different kinds of your customers. It doesn’t matter if for private use or highly frequented nail salon, we’re covering every demand.

The StarLED All In is the flagship of our LED devices range.

Its extraordinary design marks this device as completely different from common UV lamps. A wide range of features makes all wishes come true.
Curing LED gels as well as regular UV gels within its typical curing periods is naturally prerequisite. In addition to the basics, the StarLED All In can be reduced in power output to avoid heat development.
The chosen power level, the remaining/running time of one of the 3 timer modes are shown in the control panel and, if the modelist prefers it, an optional beep tone sounds every 10 seconds when in light-barrier activated mode. And last but not least, the detachable bottom plate makes the StarLED All In also suitable for pedicure.

The attribute “LED/UV” is originated in when the first LED devices became available.
The first devices only worked with a wavelength of 405nm for especially formulated LED Gels and Gel Polishes.

As time goes by, recent LED devices are evolved and cure regular UV Gels, too. To point this ability out, some distributors added the “LED/UV” attribute as a clear sign that these devices are suitable for all UV curing products.

Excepting our Pico, all of our devices work in relevant wavelengths of 365nm and 405nm, curing regular Gels as well as LED Gels as well (since we don’t support the “LED/UV” attribute).

It is common that the most users (and sellers also) think, that the more watt a device has, the better is the curing of UV-Gels, which is not correct.
If you ever worked with a lamp with only one bulb (e.g. our Compakt), you know that its curing abilities are similar to Tunnel devices with four bulbs – minus the thumb nail. That’s because the plain coverage of all nails with UV light is better in a Tunnel device than in a Compakt.

Due to this misunderstanding we often hear the question why LED devices with a low power consumption can cure Gels with the same efficiency as devices with bulbs, even more if we can reduce the count of LED and the power consumption like in the second generation of the BaseLED All In.

The power consumption only tells how much power is taken from the grid. How much “power” will get on the nails is another question and related to many more factors than only the consumption.

Remarkable for an adequate curing is

– the plain coverage of all nails with UV light
– in the correct wavelenghts (365 and/or 405nm)
– with the needed intensity.

In our devices using bulbs, the intensity of the needed UV radiation on the nail in its best position is measured with aprrox. 7.5 mW/cm² (milliwatt per square centimeter). In all of our All In-LED devices (from MiLED to StarLED) and at the same position of the nail, the intensity is measured with approx. 15-18 mW/cm², nearly as doubled as in devices with bulbs*.

The small size and the low consumption of a LED makes it possible to optimize its position inside of the device. Bulbs for example lost a lot of unused energy due to their length – the most of their light only reached the back of the hand instead of the nails.
The use of LED is significant more efficient. And as it is a young technique, there’s a lot more potential for increased efficiency in the future, so we can expect decreasing power consumption but stable curing abilities in the future.
